About Me

I'm Lucy, a freelance hair and makeup artist and cruelty free beauty blogger with a bit of lifestyle and fashion occasionally thrown in!

I have been a makeup artist for 9 years in the fashion and television industries, working on programs such as The Great British bake off, The Alan Titchmarsh Show, Deal or No Deal and many others in between.  I lived and worked in London for 6 years where I also studied for my Fashion and Editorial Makeup Design degree at the London College of Fashion.  I moved back home to Bristol, a few years ago, where I continue to work as a television makeup artist, write my blog and make beauty vlogs on youtube.

I have been blogging since the beginning of 2009 but when I fell pregnant in 2012, anything other than sleeping, eating and carrying a heavy bump on my commute to London kind of fell by the way side.  It wasn't until my son, Charlie, was nearly a year old that I went back to work and remembered I was human (and one that really rather loved beauty products and blogging about them) that I decided to start a fresh new blog; one to fit who I am now - a beauty product obssesive, a makeup artist but also a mum, now in my thirties and rather enjoying things like interiors, living a healthy life style (or doing my best to) and spending time with my family.

In October 2015 I started eating a vegan diet for ethical and environmental reasons, a few months down the line it made sense to me to carry this in to all areas of my life, including the beauty products I was using.  I now only buy or promote cruelty free products, I aim to have everything I use to be vegan too but for the moment I am still making mistakes and researching so I don't want to say everything i use is vegan, until I am absolutely sure.
