Facial at The Hampton Clinic

Sleep deprived, dehydrated and lazy.  Three things that can only mean one thing (new child aside), terrible dull skin in need of some TLC.

You can imagine how thrilled I was to visit the lovely ladies at The Hampton Clinic for a facial then can't ya!  I'd already heard good things about them as my friend has had a few treatments with them recently so off I hopped merrily in the TORRENTIAL rain (worth it) and was treated to a lovely facial.

My aesthetician Kamilla, was lovely and obviously knew her stuff, during my consultation she asked me lots of questions about my skin concerns and gave me some advice about what might help to combat the problems I have.  I have always suffered from dehydrated skin that is very sensitive to my current lifestyle and diet so drinking more water and eating more healthy oils is a must (still figuring out how to wash my face everyday whilst keeping two small people alive, not quite got to the keeping oneself sufficiently hydrated and well fed stage yet) plus once I have stopped breastfeeding she suggested adding in some vitamin c supplements to my diet whilst also using it in my skincare too - I have not done this before so I am interested to try!

I also got to go in one of their UV Skin Scanners (always wanted to do that) and oh my do I need to be more on it with SPF, I saw the physical block it provides as I applied some to one cheek while in the uv scanner, fascinating and something I will be remembering next time my sun worshiping self bakes on a sun lounger for too long.  The whiter areas signal dryness, the freckles that you see in this picture are only visible in the scanner showing signs of sun damage under the surface of the skin and the purple areas are where I had concealer on.  Terrifying but interesting image!

The facial I had was the Ordemic Peel, which is a non-chemical peel that regenerates, rebalances and restores the skin with ingredients such as pumpkin, pineapple, papaya and mango fruit enzymes - as you can imagine it smelt delicious!  My skin felt amazing afterwards, really soft and hydrated.  Definitely a treat for my tired mum face.

They use Image Skincare products at the clinic which are a cruelty free, organic, paraben free brand.  The products Kamilla suggested I try were the Ormedic Balancing Facial Cleanser, Ormedic Balancing Bio-Peptide Creme, the Moisturising SPF and (for after I have finished breastfeeding) the MD Serum which is has a complex of stabilising vitamin c.  It sounds like a really minimal routine that would help to restore some hydration to my skin whilst balancing it out and protecting it at the same time.

I will be back to visit them and try out some more of their treatments soon!

*I received the facial on a complimentary basis for the purpose of review but all opinions are always my own and 100% honest.
