Bristol Cocktail Week 2015

Wednesday, 21 October 2015

Now, I'm not much of an expert when it comes to mixing cocktails but I am a massive fan of drinking them (obvs) and with an event titled Cocktail Week happening in my favourite of all the cities, Bristol (yes, I am biased) it's something I just cannot ignore.  I was invited to go to a super fun sounding event last week to learn how to make cocktails and most importantly, sample them, but unfortunately I was unable to go - big boohoo.  So here I am, telling you about all the exciting events happening in Bristol this week and which ones I might pop along to myself!

Wednesday 21st - Akashi Tai Saké Dinner @Nomu on Whiteladies Road.  £27 with a wristband.
Start with a Saké cocktail followed by a 4 course Japanese Dinner with a guided tasting of premium Saké and finish with a Saké Espresso. If you like Saké, then yum!

Thursday 22nd - The Big Craft Gin Experience @The Pump House in Hotwells.  £15 with a wristband.
Three craft gin cocktails to try over two hours plus canapés.  Working out at £5 a drink plus free canapés, as a gin lover myself, this sounds like a winner to me.

Friday 23rd - Cocktails through the ages @The Milk Thistle on Colston Avenue.  Free with wristband, booking is advised.
With the drinks and music changing every hour to take you from 1815 - 2015 in just 5 hours this sounds like a lot of fun and if you haven't been to The Milk Thistle yet this is a must do.  Its sure to be a super cool evening.

Saturday 24th - The Bristol Masked Cocktail Ball @St Georges just off Park Street.  Free for wristband holders and for an extra £10 you get your first two cocktails free!
Party 1955 style in this amazing venue with cocktail bars located all over the building and a speakeasy bar in the crypt below if you prefer to chill with something a bit stronger.  With live bands and a venetian market mask stall this sounds like so much fun, I'm thinking I might need to head down there myself to see what its all about!

Check out The Bristol Cocktail Week website for more events.  A £10 wristband will get you £10 off all ticket prices so if you plan to go to a couple of the events it's well worth the purchase.

Will you be heading down to any of the events on this week?
