This post is in collaboration with Bath & Unwind, an online beauty website, based here in Bristol.  They have some amazing brands including Alpha H, Bumble & Bumble, Cowshed, Dr. Brandt, Emma Hardie, First Aid Beauty, Grown Alchemist, Heal Gel, Joico, Mama Mio, Neom, Ole Henriksen, Philip Kingsley, Real Techniques and Zelens... phew, a long list I know but they have so many of my favourite brands, I couldn't make it any shorter!  They kindly asked me if I would like to review some products and of course, I said yes, so today I will be talking about the Korres Wild Rose CC Cream.

I have used the Korres lip butters for years, I like the subtle hint of colour they give the lips as well as their absolutely delicious smells.  Crazily, I have never tried a CC Cream, I am already a massive fan of BB Creams and I love my EE Cream from Estee Lauder but from what I have seen from CC Creams, they always looked too matte and a bit too much coverage for my liking.  I was very pleasantly surprised when I tried the Korres one, it's sheer but buildable coverage and glowy finish is beautiful and definitely the type of base I like to wear, how wrong was I!  One good thing I did know about a CC cream is that it's designed to even out skin tone and cover any pigmentation or redness in the complexion, which is something I could really do with.  In the photo below you can see my makeup free face on the left and with the CC Cream on, on the right.  For such a sheer coverage, its done an amazing job at covering the pigmentation around my mouth, taken a lot of redness out of my cheeks and generally smoothed out the appearance of my skin.  A thumbs up from me!

It sits really nicely on the skin, smells lovely, like all Korres products and stays put really well, even without a primer.  I have the shade light, which is perfect for my skin tone but it only comes in light and medium so a few more shades in the range would be nice but that seems to be a very common problem with cc and bb creams.  It has SPF 30 but I don't think its broad spectrum so you will need to wear your normal SPF on top to be fully protected, if I could make any improvements to it, I would remove the SPF completely so it was suitable for flash photography.  Having said that it's perfect for flawless, dewy, everyday summer skin so this one is going straight in to my makeup bag and for £26 I think it's an amazing product.

  1. Wow! I did not know that Korres has a CC Cream! I love Korres Lip Butter from B-Glowing already, I may have to see if they have a CC Cream in my shade!
