Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins

I have never really had a night cream as such, always a night time routine but it wouldn't differ much from my morning one.  Until I had a dangerous visit to the Origins counter in Debenhams, Bristol, where there was a particularly knowledgable and friendly lady on hand to recommend me some rather lovely sounding products! All of which have delivered and are firm favourites in my routine.  My favourite discovery from this visit is the High Potency Night-A-Mins, an oil-free, renewal cream for night time, there is a richer one for dry skins too but I prefer something lighter for the sleeping hours.

I have to say the biggest factor in me buying this was the smell, its smells delicious, like, deliciously amazing.  Honestly, best smelling face product, ever, maybe on a par with the By Terry rose skincare range.  Its like sweet fresh oranges, or orange blossom, weirdly like a chocolate orange cream, you I eat too many of at christmas but in a really lovely way.  If you like this type of scent, go and sniff, you will be hooked.

The other thing that got me interested was the renewal part, I have been thinking about using an overnight acid exfoliator for a while but cant settle on which one I want; Alpha H, Sunday Riley Good Genes, or Sarah Chapman Overnight Exfoliator, all with very different price points but all a necessary part of a skincare routine.  I still want to purchase one of these to use every few nights, but thats a discussion for another day.  So what I like about the Night-A-Mins is that it gently brightens and renews the skin over night, and my skin looks a lot more luminous in the morning.  I have been using this for over a month now and I still have loads left in the jar and my skin is very happy indeed.  I actually look forward to my night time skincare routine now, sad I know but good for my skin!  I apply it every night after cleansing my skin and usually after using a little dollop of the La Roche Posay Effeclar Duo +, I breath in the scent as much as possible, for far too long actually, but its so flipping addictive and then massage it in all over my face and neck...and then smell my hands lovingly for another few minutes.  I follow that up with an anti ageing eye cream, also from Origins (I am a bit of a convert).

It has apparently been reformulated recently, with some snazzy new skincare technology for resurfacing the skin plus lots of added lovely vitamins and minerals.  This product, incase you can't tell, is a hit with me.  Origins, you've nailed it again. Good work, gold star, top marks etc etc.
