The beginning of my Charlotte Tilbury collection

Saturday, 4 October 2014

I have finally got my hands on some of the Charlotte Tilbury makeup range, this has been a long time coming, but here I am finally, with the first two gorgeous products to add to my kit.  First of all, the packaging  sucks you straight in, with all its old school hollywood glamour and rose gold deliciousness, it feels really special, like something your glamourous grandmother had in her makeup bag when you were little...  in a really good way.

Before I got to Selfridges I thought I had a good idea of what I wanted but as soon as I got to the counter I knew I had a difficult job on my hands!  Its all totally beautiful, and after trying EVERYTHING (really quickly and excitedly) I wanted it all, the face makeup in particular surprised me at just how good it is.  I managed to remain calm and sensible and decided on two products.

The Cheek to Chic Swish and Pop Blusher in First Love being the first, the idea is to swish the outer shade up the cheek bone and pop the middle shade on the apples of your cheeks.  Its a natural, peachy shade that brightens up the face and has a very classic feel to it.  LOVE IT.

The second thing I decided I had to have was the new Matte Revolution Lipstick in Sexy Sienna, I have seen so much about this shade on other blogs that I just had to give it a go.  Its definitely my kind of shade being slightly peachy and brightens the face but doesn't look too much.  The formula has to be one of the best matte lipsticks I have ever tried, its beautifully soft and velvety and feels nourishing while remaining completely matte.  She's clever that Tilbury.

So, love affair started, want more, need more and as quickly as possible.  What have you tried that you would recommend?

  1. This stuff looks lovely...have been wondering what all the hype was about. Maybe I'll treat myself...always in the market for something new. LDH xx

  2. That lipstick shade is stunning, I'm definitely truing into a CT fan, she really knows her stuff :)
