Rimmel Provocalips 16HR Kissproof Lip Colour

I love a bright lip (even though I look a bit serious about it in this photo!) but personally I only enjoy wearing one when its long wear, smudge proof, toddler-hands-all-over-my-face kinda proof.  My latest find is the new Rimmel Provocalips 16HR Kissproof Lip Colour and I really rather like it.

It compares to Maxfactor Lipfinity and Maybelline SuperStay 24HR, the shade range and the packaging is fairly similar but whats different is the way they wear.  Unlike other seriously long wear lip products I have tried, it is possible to touch these up if necessary, now a product like this shouldn't need topping up but after a long day with a toddler or a drunken date night out, pretty much any lip product needs a teeny bit of touching up here and there!  I find with the other products, they go a bit funny towards the inside of the lips and it really isn't possible to touch up without it going even funnier (technical term) and having to take it all off and start again.  With the Rimmel provocalips however, although it doesn't last quite as long, it wears off really nicely like a normal lipstick would and allows you to top up creating a perfect finish again.

Don't get me wrong, these still last hours and hours, but if you do find yourself in need of a top up, then with these, its possible!  TIP: I apply mine with a lip brush as its easier to create a perfect shape and then top up with the applicator if needed.  I also used a matte balm on top instead of the balm on the other end, simply because I prefer that finish but the balm provided, gives a moisturising glossy finish.

I can't wait to grab some more colours (pictured are Little Minx, left and right, Kiss Me You Fool) and even add some to my kit!
