5 Minute Makeup #3

Monday, 15 September 2014

As I sit here on the sofa with a poorly toddler, under a blanket, while watching Peppa Pig in my PJ's, posting my latest 5 minute makeup routine is a welcome distraction!  With a new favourite, some old faithfuls and a cheeky retry it makes for a varied pile of products.

My new favourite, being the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, cheap as chips and does a lovely job of applying foundation and concealer, quickly and flawlessly.  It really is fool proof.  My only gripe is that its quite delicate, so my vigorous first wash caused a few little tears, nothing a gentler touch wouldn't solve though, I'm sure.

The old faves being my trusty Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer with its buildable, lasting coverage.  The brilliant Brow Wiz by Anastasia Beverly Hills, easy and natural but precise.  Chanel Tan De Soliel, I have loved using a cream bronzer recently, I'm really not digging the powdery look at the moment.  You need to go easy with this one though, as there is a fine line between beautifully bronzed and totally tangoed!

The main retry that has surprised me the most, is the Benefit, They're Real Mascara, after finding it far too dramatic the first time I used it and accidentally-on-purpose losing it to the bottom of my makeup bag, I recently gave it another go when I lost my Max Factor 2000 Calorie (probably to the toddler), hesitantly, I went easy with one coat and to my surprise, I loved it, its been my go-to mascara for over a week now, Im a fickle woman.  I also decided to have a go on my Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Picnic in the Park for the first time in ages and I forgot how delicious it smells!!

  1. Looking as beautiful as ever Luce! I love the Chanel, the only thing I struggle with is using it with a high coverage foundation (NARS sheer glow)...but that's probably user error...! LDH xox
