My Makeup Bag Essentials

Saturday, 1 February 2014

My daily makeup routine is fairly speedy these days as I'm usually trying to entertain a one year old at the same time.  I do, however, have a few products I rely on to make me look slightly more well slept!

I have enjoyed the Laura Mercier Secret Concealer for years, it used to be a staple in my kit but I realised how much it worked for my skin when I discovered it was the only product I could find that covered the hideous dermatitis I suffered from during pregnancy.  Without it I looked like I had a red beard.  You can imagine how thankful I was for it.  These days it is my 'go to' concealer for bags, redness and breakouts.  I love how cheap and cheerful the Rimmel Stay Matte powder is and its up there with the best for lasting power.  A newer discovery is the Soap and Glory Archery brow pen, the 'felt tip' end is a good dupe for my favourite Suqqu Brow pen, great for a more precise application while remaining natural in appearance.  My Suqqu pen would last me 6 months though, and this one is already running out after a month, cost per use it works out cheaper to get he Suqqu one which also offers nicer shades.  Im loving my Chanel Blush in Tweed Pink for a sheer, glowing flush of colour and last but not least I have been really getting in to the L'oreal Collection Prive lipstick in Julliane's Nude, its great for brightening up my tired face and I love the old lady smell!
